Lehigh Valley Photographer | Capriotti's Palazzo & Catering Wedding | McAdoo, PA | 5.18.19 | Krista & Kory

Krista and Kory had the absolute perfect wedding day, all around really, but specifically weather wise. Blue skies were few and far between last year, so for my first wedding of the year to be perfect weather, I was thrilled. Helps that the couple are two of the sweetest people ever. Hair and makeup team slayed and the girls all looked fabulous even after all that dancing!

The wedding itself was held at Immaculate Conception Church. Gorgeous cathedral in Jim Thorpe PA. After church we headed a few miles up the road to Mauch Chunk Lake for their formal photos! The blue sky was perfection!

Reception was held at Capriotti’s Palazzo & Catering in McAdoo PA. I know when I have a Capriotti’s wedding that it’s going to be a well-run, smooth reception for me with a bonus of excellent food and service. I’m excited that I finally got to experience their new Capella building where Krista and Kory had their cocktail hour.

Overall this day rocked. A perfect start to 2019 wedding season. I’m excited to finalize this gallery and allow them to relive the entire day from my eyes. Mr. And Mrs. Lopata, I wish you a lifetime of happy tears and belly laughs ❤️ Thanks for allowing me to capture your day. Xo Lg

Lehigh Valley Photographer | Capriotti's Palazzo & Catering Wedding | McAdoo, PA | 9.15.18 | Nicole & Tom

Tom and Nicole are about as sweet as they come. One of the few weddings of 2018 that didn't have rain AND had a beautiful sunset that I stalked so hard to be sure I didn't miss it. It was a beautifully emotional day and I was grateful to be able to there to capture it. I will never forget how gorgeous the flowers inside of the church were. I've never really been the biggest flower fan but after seeing the way the church looked, I'm sold. Capriotti's Palazzo is one of my favorite venues to shoot north of the Lehigh Valley! Tucked away and so fresh, clean and great food! I warned these two and their limo driver that if I saw any pretty photo ops on the way to their reception, that we should pull over, grab the flowers and hop off the bus and sure enough, those yellow and white “weeds” were calling my name. We did some poses in the flowers and and then I made them walk down the middle of the road which ended up being some of my favorite shots from their formals! All around it was a beautiful day and an amazing wedding. To Tom and Nicole- I wish you all the best and a lifetime of happiness! Xo Lg

Lehigh Valley Photographer | Capriotti's Palazza & Catering Wedding | McAdoo, PA | 5.19.18 | Courtney & Justin

Typically, when I have my final phone consult with my brides, I don't mention the weather because truthfully... I don't ever look at the weather. But everyone I spoke to the week before their wedding in passing said, "Going to be a wash out this weekend!" or "Hope you don't have a wedding this weekend!" and so I knew going into our phone call that weather would have to be a discussion. I assured them that no matter what, we would find a place to do photos and make beautiful portraits for them.

Fast forward to Saturday, the rain was relentless. I remember watching the girls being ushered into the house taking cover from the rain and I told Courtney that I had a back up inside plan if needed!

She looked stunning! Another bride who I've known through a club my husband is a part of in Hazleton, PA. We've been to Yankees games together and I've watched her go from a middle schooler to graduating with her doctorate. I met Justin through their family and they've been together for as long as I remember. They are the perfect compliment to each other.

As we left for the ceremony, the rain was pouring down and throughout the entire ceremony it continued. My second shooter Becky came over to me as we were setting up for the family formals in the church and she said, "You're not going to believe this but it stopped raining!" I told her not to toy with my emotions and went to look for myself and sure enough it had stopped raining. We were blessed that the outside of the church was gorgeous and we had a perfect ivy backdrop for photos. I cried happy tears when we left for the reception. When I say I'm 100% present on a wedding day, I'm all in. Emotionally involved from the word GO! No matter what the weather, I do what I can to make gorgeous photos... but what I don't always let on about rainy weddings is that they're SUPER stressful. Because I have a lot of people (bridal party, parents, MYSELF) that I'm trying to remind to stay positive so that there's no extra stress on the B&G. I love how in the photos you can't see stress. You see two people so much in love and surrounded by people who love them so much. The break in the rain was a gift from above and obviously I'm STILL super grateful for it.

The rest of the night went off perfectly. I got to hang out with DJ Adam from Skuba Entertainment who I love to work with. If you ever wonder if the uplighting package your DJ offers is worth it, be sure to check out their fun dancing shots! I also got to see my former bride, Cortney from Capriotti's Catering where the food is always delicious and the service never disappoints!

Justin and Courtney, I am so thrilled you two have found love and bring out the very best in each other! Thank you for including me on your day. I can't wait 'til you see all the photos! Xo Lg

Lehigh Valley Photographer | Glen Onoko Falls Engagement Session | Jim Thorpe, PA | Krista & Kory

Amazing early morning after a wedding with my bride and groom Krista and Kory for May of 2019. They were in town for Krista's birthday so thankfully the rain held off and we ended up with a gorgeous morning for pictures and a few puddles for reflection shots! They braved the water at Glen Onoko Falls and we made beautiful photos celebrating their engagement. Jim Thorpe in general is such a great spot for an engagement session, there's so many options and variety to get in just a small amount of time. So excited for this wedding next year at Capriotti's in McAdoo, PA!! Thanks for choosing me, guys!  Xo Lg

Lehigh Valley Photographer | Capriotti's Palazzo & Catering Wedding | McAdoo, PA | 4.16.16 | Cortney & Eric

Back in my restaurant days, I worked with the lovely Cortney and that's how we met. The minute she and Eric got engaged, she contacted me and hired me over the phone to capture their wedding day.

Last year, I met them in downtown Bethlehem, PA. to do their engagement photos and I knew how epic their wedding day would be based on that. Their love is so fun and REAL. It's evident all over the images.

The wedding day was perfect. Weather was great. Beautiful people, surrounded by love and laughter. Their gorgeous daughter Lillian was loving dancing and being such a huge part of the day. We even made a pit stop to the place they met many years ago, Tamaqua Area High School and did some fun photos there, too!

After we changed the Mrs. into her reception dress, we got the party started with a choreographed dance they planned as a surprise for the guests and it didn't disappoint.

Capriotti's service and food was top notch. I should have known it would be since everything related to food gets better (in my opinion) the closer I get to Hazleton! We capped off the night with beautiful sun setting photos and a little Cupid Shuffling.

Overall, a perfect wedding day.

Thank you Eric and Cortney for trusting me with your most priceless and precious memories.

Enjoy your sneak peek :)
